Emerging and Established
Lodi, July 1-August 30
An unlikely pairing of local artists will be on display at the Knowlton Gallery this summer, when the work of veteran ceramicist Joe Mariscal is shown side by side with up-and-coming painter Ben Miller in “Emerging and Established.” Mariscal’s current ceramics series reflects its Pre-Columbian-style influence, and provides a comfortable comparison to the oil and acrylic paintings of Miller, whose cityscapes and night scenes reflect the charm of vintage California. Be sure to check out the Opening Reception with the artists from 6-9:30 p.m., Friday, July 11, where the gallery will also pour wines from Acampo’s River Bluff Cellars. Free.
