Lodi's Sandhill Crane Festival
November 4-6, LodiAt the end of their migratory journey each year, Sandhill cranes migrate to the Delta wetlands in awe-inspring numbers and with breathtaking choreography—some from as far away as Siberia. This year marks the 15th annual Sandhill Crane Festival in honor of the migration. Held in collaboration with the City of Lodi, the family festival includes dance and art workshops, speakers, nature tours, artwork on display, and more. Thunder Goes Pink
November 4-5, StocktonPink will rule the rink as the Stockton Thunder battles the Utah Grizzles in this two-game series to raise breast cancer awareness. The annual event presented by St. Joseph's Medical Center raises money for breast cancer research and treatment. Guests will not only get to enjoy a high-energy hockey game, but also numerous live and silent auctions. Midtown Magnificence
November 6, StocktonMidtown Magnificence is the theme of this year's American Association of University Women Home Tour, describing the location of the lovely homes to be toured. Each of the six central Stockton homes featured this year is unique; some have been updated with modern features and others have been kept to their original footprint. Edible Science: An Adventure in Molecular Gastronomy
November 12, LodiLodi's World of Wonders science museum will be holding a unique fundraiser to benefit the purchase of new exhibits from the San Francisco Exploratorium. The evening will feature a progressive dinner created by six local chefs, prepared before your eyes using unique equipment and techniques to showcase the science involved in cooking. Hairspray
November 16-December 11, StocktonBased on the original film production by notorious director John Waters, the Tony-award winning musical Hairspray will be making its way to Stockton this fall. Set in 1960, this Broadway favorite follows the plump heroine, Tracy Turnblad, as she defeats the odds by earning a place on The Corny Collins Show, a local TV sensation similar to American Bandstand. Watch Tracy laugh, dance, and sing as she challenges the status quo on matters like racism, and integration, all without messing up her hair. Showtimes vary. $15-$25. The Run and Walk Against Hunger
November 24, StocktonThis 7th annual event is a fun, family-oriented 5K run and walk, 10 K run, and 1/4 mile kids' run and walk, starting and finishing at the Stockton Ports Ballpark. Festival of Trees: A Magical Christmas
November 18-20, TracyThis year's annual Festival of Trees will feature events for the young and the young-at-heart.
